Forex Article - Take your money and run!

Most days, believe it or not, trading can be boring. When I was new to Forex, I used to spend long hours at the computer, trying to trade myself into millionnaireship almost over night. Sheesh - what a mistake.

Nowadays, I don't spend more than 90 minutes a day at the computer trading. There's an open secret you see, and although almost everyone knows about it - most people don't take any notice and trade to compulsion . . . .

The most important single attribute for the Forex trader is discipline. The discipline that tells you to STOP when you've made your money for the day - and bail out. vamos, walk away, finito - close down the computer for the day and go and live a life.

This is worth a little thought, right here. A short trading day, with a proper disciplined strategy to 'get your pips' and 'bail out' - - - means very little exposure.

This means very SAFE trading. Yes, there is a great deal of money to be made in Forex trading but looking for the 'golden shot', the 'magic day,' the 'magic trade' can be foolish. And it keeps you trading LONG after it is sensible to. But the attraction of easy riches - 'the free lunch' - is potent and strong to the undisciplined and is dangerous and risky. Most people who don't learn discipline, fail.

The most profitable method of trading isn't always the most exciting

It follows, in my opinion that they just couldn't take the boring truth. In a competition between the tortoise and the hare - the tortoise wins hands down, He just keeps plodding away, slowly but surely, compounding the miles. Compounding the miles folks. I just keep trading a few minutes each day, slowly and surely, compounding the money.

My way of trading doesn't fill one with excitement. Isn't thrilling, doesn't make me catch my breath and wait for the wheel to stop spinning. My way is boring. Little risk, working to a business plan - and far from making trading my life - I now have oceans of free time to enjoy a life away from trading. I just let trading pay for it.

I sit at my computer at certain times of day and look at my charts to see what's going on. If it's moving, I'm in and out in minutes most of the time. My daily target is small and I take no risks. If there isn't any movement, I come back next day.

See, I told you it's BORING. But it sure beats the 16 hour days I had in MLM. It sure beats travelling all over to do sales training seminars, as I used to. And the money is GREAT.

For the first time for many years - I have a life, I have money - and I'm stress free, appreciating and enjoying my life. And it's all down to a Golden Rule I've learnt never to break. Take your money . . . and Bail Out.
