The Trading Mindset – Part 2

By

Most people, have been conditioned by circumstance; by the way we were brought up, educated and matured – to understand the work ethic in our ordinary everyday lives. This kind of life we have accepted, unknowingly and subconsciously as ‘normal’.

To try and demonstrate this, let me tell you that when I first discovered that I could make my wages by sitting in front of the computer trading Forex for around an hour before breakfast, It was great of course – but I felt there was something wrong – I almost felt ‘guilty’.

I’ve worked all my life, it’s ‘normal’ for me. Like most people, I KNOW that you work for 8 or 9 hours every day and that’s the ‘way it is’. Right? How could I possibly have finished my day’s ‘work’ in one hour? And before breakfast for goodness sake. It just didn’t seem right to me.

My MINDSET was a conditioned one – it just couldn’t accept that there was a different kind of mindset that I needed to develop – to be ‘cool’ about only working for an hour a day. My old mindset said, “Boy, if you can make that money before breakfast, think what you could do in a ‘normal’ eight hours”.

That’s conditioning.

The 3rd and final part of this series will be live in a couple of days.
