Take a Break – Take a Forex Course!
ByDo you know – the more I do this, the more I WANT to do it. I apologise if this post is a little long – but you’ll see I have lots to say this week.
I’m now at the end of the second week. The last three tutorials all came on Thursday and were all about money management strategies and the means to make an individual business plan for the future, based on worst case trading performance.
The truth is that it blew my mind. I couldn’t sleep on Friday night – I haven’t really been concentrating on the money side of things up till now, but when you start to understand what is possible here, with very conservative figures, it really is mind-blowing.
The whole idea of these few days, we are told, is to make us understand how little we need to trade on a daily basis to make a great deal of money. This is the opposite of the norm where too many people reach for the moon, get greedy, start gambling and then lose their money.
It’s all about understanding that this isn’t like the mindset we are used to – we have been conditioned to think, try harder and harder to get more and more. It’s explained that forex is exactly the reverse, and that a little, done safely and consistently with patience and discipline pays dividends, and that stressless trading is really what we must aim for.
The money management lessons this week alone, have been worth their weight in gold. Not only do I feel that I am learning a huge amount about forex, but I am learning things that apply in life generally. (I wish I knew more about this before I met my ex-husband I can tell you)! It just seems so simple – and so obvious! But as with all these things, unless someone who has the experience tells you, how would we know about it?
The whole discussion about risk and how we manage this effectively, can be carried out in our day to day lives, and the timing of this has been perfect for us with our imminent house move.
Before I forget, the first part of this week saw us finish completely with all the trading platform tuition (all of which, would you believe, I now understand perfectly) and there are loads of pictures to refer back to if needed. We also had our first forex trading video lesson on Wednesday – so easy to pick things up from video and I’m becoming pretty excited about this course on several different levels now.
It’s the weekend and I have the audio to listen to at some point. We are painting the outside or our house today, running around after children (and have been since 8am this morning) and viewing houses for the rest of the day, so I have decided that I am going to put my feet up, with a sandwich and a cup of tea on Sunday morning whilst my boys are playing rugby – and listen to this week’s talk – I can’t wait!
