Student Interview:
Colin, Invigilator from Glasgow, UK
I asked a dozen ordinary people to fill in a questionaire about their background and experience on my course.
Most had no previous experience of Forex whatsoever before taking our four week Forex course.
This is the unedited response from Colin.
Colin - please tell me a little bit about your background
I was born in Birmingham England in 1939. I was in the last draft of National Serviceman in 1960 and spent the majority of my time as a physical training instructor in Hong Kong.
I married Christine, a primary school teacher in 1966 whilst I was working in London. In 1969 the company asked us to move to Glasgow to start a new factory and we have been here ever since in a beautiful part of the country, near Loch Lomond surrounded by mountains.
We have three children and five grandchildren. I have been involved in sport all my life and as the children grew up they became competitive swimmers and I got involved with coaching to International level. I have run one marathon (never again) and several half marathons but these days I enjoy walking every day in the hills.
What your normal life was like before finding Forex?
I have always enjoyed a very busy lifestyle. I was always at my desk/in the factory by 07.30 (mostly before!) and swimming morning training sessions used to start at 06.15 so getting out of bed has never been a problem.
Retirement to some people has been a real culture shock but with walking and looking after the grandchildren and fitting in the more mundane things around them I am pleased to say I always seem to be busy.

What brought you to look at earning more/extra money outside your normal life?
Until I retired I had never owned a computer. I was fortunate to have people, usually pretty young ladies, who would provide whatever information was required, but when I did get one I could see the potential for doing something at home although I am self taught and far from competent.
I had offers of consultancy work but usually turned them down because I wanted to enjoy my new lifestyle. I looked for something I thought might be interesting working from home for a few hours a day.
What brought you to look at Forex?
Then I found Forex. I knew absolutely nothing about it – but it seemed interesting and the more enquiries I made the more fascinated I became. Then I found Sid – and that became a life changing experience.

Why did you pick Forex?
What really appealed to me was that Sid was trading early in the morning – achieving his target and out walking with the dog before 0730 most mornings – that sounded just what I was looking for – but could I achieve it?
How did you enjoy the learning process for Forex - were you anxious - and did the anxiety go away?
Everything was so new it was scary, but the course was excellent, everything a complete novice like me could wish for. Ongoing support and information on a daily basis if required and a “demo” account to practice with. It gave the opportunity to make and correct so many mistakes that Sid had warned about but were still made by me and I am sure by many others also.

And now - how do you feel about it?
The teaching was so good that it built an inner confidence that you knew you had been taught well – just like driving a car - and to me one of the most important things was that I was, and still am enjoying it.
What do you feel the total learning process did for you as a person?
I thought I was disciplined – but not enough for Forex. Patience has never been a great virtue of mine but I have had to learn to be patient and most difficult of all, completely change my mindset. Am I a better person? That is for others to say.
Has your longer term outlook improved or not - maybe enlarge a little on this?
I now know I have the possibility to trade Forex for the rest of my life. Less than two hours every day with compounding being the “magic ingredient”
What do you think of the mentorship that took you to the point of live trading?
Mentorship is excellent. The daily blog is very informative and is the most sophisticated improvement over the last sixteen months.
Do you feel that I taught you to be a SAFE trader, looking after your capital properly?
The emphasis has always been on safe trading and preserving capital.

Do you think there is an element of gambling in your live trading?
You can never control the movement of the markets but the knowledge gained and the information provided means that the gambling element is reduced to virtually nil.
How do you rate your chances of keeping, rather than losing your capital?
The chances of keeping my money rather than losing it I would rate very high and I will increase my capital as well.
Do you feel better about your future now?
I have never had any worries about the future but the Money Management System makes it look very exciting.
Is it nice to be making some money from trading in such a short time window every day?
Trading in such a short time window every day is the main thing that attracted me to the course and it has proved to be perfect for my lifestyle. Something I can do for the rest of my life - (Tortoises live a long time!!!!!)
Anything you want to say that I didn't ask?
The course has been the best value for money purchase I have made in the last twenty years.
