Gary - please tell me a little bit about your background

I left school with 6 'O' levels in 1978 and had absolutely no Focus on what sort of career to take. There was mass unemployment in the UK so I had to take a job in anything that was available, so I became a labourer on a building site, and looking back on it, it was probably one of the most enjoyable jobs I've ever had!

At the time though, it was hard work....but no stress! Since then I have flitted around most occupations, from a Milkman to Salesman to Systems Analyst to Chemical Production, this last one being probably the most stressful.

I've been looking for a way out of work since I left school! My long suffering wife is a Staff Nurse, who also works long hours, and we have a 9 year old son who enjoys Golf, Tae Kwon Do and Drumming (2 out of 3 ain't bad!)

What your normal life was like before finding Forex?

Before Forex? Mmmmm...I seemed to be just drifting along like everybody else. I had been on the lookout for something profitable that I could make work from home so I could get away from going to work every day...I hated work.

I have tried Affiliate programmes, MLM and even website design, but it was too much work, for such small rewards, so basically I gave up. I never really gave up hope though of finding something that made me 'FOCUS' . It had to be there somewhere surely!

What brought you to look at earning more/extra money outside your normal life?

It was the drudgery of going to work everyday, working hard to just survive. If I could find something at home, I could drop my hours and see more of my wife and lad. Also to have that nice car on the drive, have 2 or 3 holidays a year, perhaps save more for my retirement. I couldn't do these kind of things on my basic wage.

What brought you to look at Forex?

I stumbled upon Forex when looking for a way to earn money at home. To me it seemed to be 'new', I hadn't heard of Forex before! I had tried most things but had failed miserably, so Forex was like a new challenge.

Why did you pick Forex?

It came after reading reviews on a Website, and one stood out a mile. ForexTrainingWorks had the most overwhelming reviews I had ever seen, and I just had to do some detective work. I downloaded Sids free eBook and read it three times, almost not believing what could be achieved by Forex.

I got in touch with Sid and he seemed just so genuine, I am a good judge of character and he ticked all the right boxes. So I enrolled in the course and the rest is history.

How did you enjoy the learning process for Forex - were you anxious - and did the anxiety go away?

Firstly I must admit it scared the pants off me! I didn't think I had the brains to comprehend what was in front of me! But after only a couple of days I needn't have worried. The course comes to you nice and slow and has the best support anyone will ever encounter.

Soon, you start to feel part of a club, still a little anxious, but growing in confidence every day. It becomes enjoyable, intriguing and comforting knowing there are others in the same boat as you. Everybody is so friendly and supportive.

And now - how do you feel about it ?

Great!...Happy!....FOCUSED! I now have the knowledge that will turn my life around. It won't happen overnight, but I KNOW it will happen.

What do you feel the total learning process did for you as a person?

It's amazing. I have a better perspective on life, I have more patience and more importantly a goal to aim for.

Has your longer term outlook improved or not - maybe enlarge a little on this?

Oh yes! Long term looks rosy....before I had nothing really to look forward to. I seemed to be just drifting along like millions of others, now I have a plan in life that I know will be fulfilled.

What do you think of the mentorship that took you to the point of live trading?

Sid and Kris are (don't blush) without doubt the two most positive, helpful, patient people I have had the pleasure of working with. Nothing is too much trouble and it's as if I have known them for many years. Going live was a very big step for me, after all, it's REAL money, money I can ill afford to lose.

I went live in October 07 after going 14 weeks with only one negative trade, so I felt good about doing it . Sid and Kris always like to make sure you're ready to go live. But the first 3 trades went wrong, this was sheer nerves and I felt, because I was live, that I HAD to trade.

I got in touch with Sid and told him that perhaps I should go back into Demo. Sid told me I was an awesome trader and should not go backwards. He told me a simple routine to follow (which is now told to everyone about to go live) and he was right. How does he know? Because he's been there and bought the t-shirt!

Do you feel that I taught you to be a SAFE trader, looking after your capital properly?

Very much so. Kris runs the blog and tells us every day that staying safe is paramount in Forex trading. Everybody needs to learn this and Kris is an expert at putting this across. I'm a live trader and never tire of being told about the need to preserve my capital.

Do you think there is an element of gambling in your live trading?

Not at all. I suppose the over critical could say nothing is certain, and of course it's not, but trading Sid's way cuts it down to the absolute minimum. There is a small set of rules that make sure gambling does not come into it.

When I enter a trade I know it will go positive, if it doesn't go positive straight away (very rare) and there is the slightest of doubts, I get out of the trade and lose nothing. Where's the gamble in that?

How do you rate your chances of keeping, rather than losing your capital?

My capital will only increase, I can't see how I can lose it if I follow Sid's way of trading. Keep it simple and follow the simple rules. The course is about changing your mindset, if you can do that, you can make Forex work for you.

Do you feel better about your future now?

I feel safe. I know that I have the knowledge to make my future exciting. I have been lucky that I found this course, there are so may people out there living dreary lives with no future....could've been me!

Is it nice to be making some money from trading in such a short time window every day?

Very nice! Never longer than 90 minutes a day, but usually about 30-45 minutes is the time it takes to reach my goal. Very nice!
